Our History
Tiesseci was originally formed as an R&D group within the Italian National
Radio System in 1980 to research and develop automation technologies
for use in On-Air Automation, looking forward to the Digital Audio
Compression. In the 80', Tiesseci has Become European Leader in
digital audio systems with thousands installations. Today the
company is an active member of the International Association of Broadcast
Manufacturers, developing
MPEG-1 MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 systems, and the DVB - DVB-T Technology.
Today and Tomorrow
Tiesseci's MPEG2 Servers and systems are used by some of the industry's
most advanced International Broadcasting Groups as RAI Radio Television of
Italy, Satellite Companies, Local Tv stations, kiosk advertising
companies, Video On Demand networks.
Tiesseci is also well introduced into the new D-Cinema technology
developing a new range of HD D-CINEMA Projection server solutions.
Products and OEM solutions
Tiesseci designs and manufactures a broad range of broadcast-quality
MPEG-2 video systems as encoders, decoders, Video Loggers also with face - object and
text automated recognition, high performance software drivers and
applications, as complete Video Server Systems. Its extensive background
in the cable and broadcast markets, as well as its deep knowledge of the
MPEG2 ISO standards covering from the DVB DVB-T ASI Transport Stream
systems, to the Program Stream systems, to the IMX, to the multi-channel audio
technology as THX, AC3, DOLBY DIGITAL, have made Tiesseci a leader
in video compression technology and Professional Video systems.
Tiesseci provides its VideoServer core to many manufacturers that resell
it with different look under their brand.
Tiesseci's encode and decode products serve a wide range of video
environments. Tiesseci's encoders provide robust broadcast-quality MPEG-2
encoding on the Windows 2000 platform. Tiesseci's systems are used in
many applications including broadcast, post production, news production,
sport production, live graphics and channel branding, advertising, near
video on demand (NVOD), interactive and corporate training, HQ video
delivery over ISDN and ATM lines. Tiesseci's
decoders provide broadcast quality MPEG-2 decoding. Tiesseci's decoders
are used in cable television head end decoding, broadcast server decoding,
video training, video kiosks and jukeboxes, DVD playback, post-production
and many other applications.

Tiesseci video servers to scale storage in a classic
distributed nodes-in-cluster redundant way, saving space,
costs, delivering
high-resolution MPEG-2 video streams with fault resilience
and complete Network-Streaming Interoperability based on the
ISO MPEG2 PS and TS standards.
No proprietary video file format is used but standard ISO .MPG
files so one single file does transport 8 audio tracks + video
in perfect lips-sync over a common gigabit copper cable
network. One single net cable may transport 80
Betacam-sp like simultaneous streams.
Customers takes advantage of an Open and standard file format
system, being able to share their video archive with virtual
any other video software or system from any other
